シンガポール工科大学の学生達が来学しました
Students from SIT, Singapore visited our university
2025年8月17日（日）から8月23日（土）までの7日間、本学はシンガポール工科大学（Singapore Institute of Technology, SIT）の研修生20名（理学療法学科10名、作業療法学科10名）を受け入れました。
研修生たちは引率教員とともに来日し、本学の学生との交流、さらに医療・福祉施設での見学や実習を体験しました。
From August 17 (Sun) to August 23 (Sat), 2025, our university welcomed 20 trainees from the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)—10 from the Department of Physical Therapy and 10 from the Department of Occupational Therapy—for a seven-day program.
The trainees, accompanied by their faculty supervisors, visited Japan to interact with our students and to participate in observation and hands-on training at medical and welfare facilities.
8月18日（月）
初日は大学でのオリエンテーションからスタート。
冲永国際交流センター長、中山学科長、古川学科長、小橋学科長より歓迎の挨拶がありました。
The program began on the first day with an orientation at the university.
Welcome addresses were delivered by Prof. Okinaga, Director of the Center for International Exchange, along with Professors Nakayama, Furukawa, and Kobashi, the respective department chairs.
そのあと、本学のキャンパスツアーを実施しました。
各学部の演習室や実習室などを見学しました。
The campus tour included a visit to each faculty's seminar rooms, practice rooms of each faculties and another.
昼食は学食でのWelcomeランチ。9月にSITを訪問する本学の学生10名と、和太鼓サークルの学生7名とが一緒になってランチを楽しみました。
The welcome lunch took place at the university cafeteria.
Ten of our students who will visit SIT in September joined seven members of the Japanese Taiko Drum Club, and together they enjoyed a lively meal filled with conversation and laughter.
午後には日本の医療制度についての講義を受講しました。
そして、1日の締めくくりには、本学の和太鼓サークルによる演奏が行われ、参加者は実際に和太鼓を体験しました。
その後は、みんなでレクリエーションを楽しみ、充実したひとときを過ごしました。
In the afternoon, the participants attended a lecture on Japan’s healthcare system.
To conclude the day, our university’s Wadaiko Drum Club gave a performance, followed by a hands-on Wadaiko drumming experience.
Afterward, everyone joined in recreational activities and enjoyed a memorable and fulfilling time together.
8月19日（火）
午前中は埼玉県所沢市にある国立障害者リハビリテーションセンターを訪問。
リハビリテーションの最新の設備と取り組みを見学しました。
They observed the latest facilities and initiatives in the field of rehabilitation.
午後、午後は総合東京病院を訪問し、日本のPTやOTがどのように病院にて働いているかを見学し、病院運営について学びました。
In the afternoon, the group visited Tokyo General Hospital, where they observed how physical therapists and occupational therapists work in a hospital setting and learned about hospital management practices.
8月20日（水）
午前中は本学でPTとOT、分野別プログラムを実施しました。
理学療法学科：講義「ロコモティブシンドロームの理解」
作業療法学科：日本文化体験「書道」

午後は、赤羽を経由して「味の素ナショナルトレーニングセンター（NTC）」を訪問。
オリンピック選手も利用する最先端のスポーツ施設を見学しました。
In the afternoon, the group traveled via Akabane to visit the Ajinomoto National Training Center (NTC), a state-of-the-art sports facility also used by Olympic athletes.
8月21日（木）
この日は朝早く東京を出発し、静岡県にある特定非営利活動法人EPOを訪問しました。
障害者支援の現場において実習を体験し、特に乗馬療法では、参加者全員が楽しそうに取り組んでいました。皆さん馬に乗るのは初めてでおっかなびっくりでした。
On this day, the group departed Tokyo early in the morning and visited the nonprofit organization EPO in Shizuoka Prefecture.
They took part in hands-on training at a disability support facility, and everyone especially enjoyed the horseback riding therapy. For most participants, it was their first time riding a horse, and they were both excited and a little nervous.
また、昼食には流しそうめんを行い、皆さん興味深そうに体験しながら、美味しそうに召し上がっていました。
At lunchtime, they tried nagashi-somen (flowing noodles), a traditional Japanese summer activity.
Everyone seemed fascinated by the experience and enjoyed the meal with great enthusiasm.
8月22日（金）
午前中は「柔道整復術の歴史と今後の展望」に関する講義を受講しました。
In the morning, the participants attended a lecture on The History and Future Prospects of Judo Therapy.
その後、附属接骨院を見学し、実際の施術実習を体験しました。
柔道整復の歴史的背景や臨床での活用方法について理解を深めることができ、柔道整復学に初めて触れた参加者も多く、皆、興味津々の様子でした。
Afterward, they visited the university’s affiliated bone-setting clinic and took part in a hands-on practice session.
Through these activities, they deepened their understanding of the historical background of judo therapy and its clinical applications.
For many, it was their first exposure to the field, and they showed great curiosity and enthusiasm.
午後は研修のまとめを発表して、最後に学科長から修了証が授与されました。
研修生たちは達成感にあふれ、充実した表情を浮かべていました。
In the afternoon, the trainees presented a summary of their training, and the program concluded with the department chairs awarding them certificates of completion.
The trainees were filled with a sense of accomplishment and wore expressions of satisfaction.
今回の研修では、SIT学生たちが本学の学生と積極的に交流し、日本の医療や文化を学ぶとともに、国際的な視野を広げることができました。
今後もSITとの協力関係を継続し、より実りある国際交流プログラムを展開していきます。
Through this training program, the SIT students actively interacted with our students, learned about Japanese healthcare and culture, and broadened their international perspectives.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration with SIT and further developing meaningful international exchange programs in the future.
